Welcome to the LynchburgAlumni.com blog center.  Visit this section regularly for fun, fast-to-read updates on a variety of topics.

For now, look for campus views and news, and general thoughts from the Office of Alumni Programs.  The goal is to simply let you reconnect to campus in this way.  Enjoy.

Jim Flynn, Lauren Hopple, Bryce Legg, John Reilly, Phil Mazzara . . .

These are among the earliest adopters of LynchburgAlumni.com, and I thank you all for your early patience, and commitment to using this new communication tool.

John Reilly submitted the first photo by an alumnus.

Lauren and Jim get the Pioneer Award for enduring some early registration speed bumps.

As you explore, remember the key to success for this online site to truly become a community: YOU!  We need you to add Notes, share your contact information, upload photos, post comments to the blog, and most importantly, encourage others to be ready to register as soon as they can.

Right now, we should be launching the online community to all alumni later this month, and marketing it widely in August, just before the next issue of Lynchburg College Magazine is mailed.

Matt - nice work on the online community. It will take time to get this going, but this is a real plus for alumni. Thanks from all of us!

Uploading Pictures    By jbflynnie on 8/23/2007 9:59 PM
I haven't been able to upload any pictures yet. Does something need to be done to the picture, such as reducing the number of pixels, before they are uploaded.

Jim, make sure your images are 100k or smaller. That may be the issue, and there are instructions online if you have any problems. Also feel free to call me if that doesn't work.

Once you submit the photo, it comes to Tom or me for approval, then it goes live. That process usually takes less than one business day. Enjoy.
